Serving Daytona Beach Since 1955
Created in 1955, the District has a long history in the community. Its original purpose was to fund and build a race track in Daytona, but International Speedway Corporation (ISC) stepped up and built the speedway in 1959. Since then, the District has leased the land to ISC and continues to annually reinvest the show proceeds back into the community.

TENTATIVE AGENDA
2025 Goals and Objectives
The Daytona Beach Racing and Recreational Facilities District aims to boost spectator attendance and enhance the experience at Daytona Turkey Run events. The key goals are to maximize attendance, improve the overall spectator experience, optimize marketing, and increase the positive economic and community impact.
Achieve a steady annual increase in paid spectators, with a focus on attracting new attendees and encouraging multi-day visits to stimulate the local economy.
Strive for high satisfaction ratings from attendees and maintain a strong rate of repeat spectators. This will be supported by our customer service initiative, and increasing online engagement to raise awareness.
Improve the effectiveness of marketing campaigns by increasing their conversion rates. Efforts will be made to expand the marketing reach to younger enthusiasts from outside the local area and to establish new strategic partnerships for each event.
Continue to generate a significant positive economic impact for the Daytona Beach area and maintain or increase annual charitable donations from the event’s proceeds.
